Project outfits and gunsmithing services

If you are thinking of building that project rifle to benchrest standards by all means get in touch with us and discuss what you are thinking. We do not wish to insult people but only serious enquiries please. It takes an enormous amount of time to develop and arrange estimates for these things which is not quite the same as getting a quote for a set of reloading dies. We can arrange to build any project rifle, shooting equipment or reloading needs.
If it’s centrefire we will arrange Phil Jones of Redback Precision to do the gunsmithing and machining requirements. We can arrange all other components like stocks, scopes, mounts, barrels, dies, reloading tools, rests, spotting scopes and tripods etc. If required we can match prep cases, fireform and develop loads as well and present you with the finished rifle ready for the Formula 1.
For Rimfires rifles we use John Cook of CPR Custom Rifles. John specializes in Rimfire target rifles only and is very good. He gunsmiths our own Rimfires. Phil Jones gunsmiths our centrefire rifles and has just received several new CNC machines to add to his workshop. Phil is also a Benchrest Hall of Fame member and just like us shoots all form of benchrest from Rimfire, centrefire, 500m Fly, 1,000 yards and F Class.

MATCH prepared brass

We also offer a service of match prepared cartridge cases (brass). Some people do not wish to go to the expense of buying all those trick case preparation tools or maybe do not have the time so we do the work for you.
We can supply cases and do match prep to your requirements. Generally for cases like the 220 Russian to be ready to fireform into a 6PPC we expand the necks on a K&M expander mandrel tool, Neck turn on a K&M hand neck turner with a fluted cardide mandrel. Then we cut the primer pockets with a carbide Sinclair tool and deburr and cut the flash holes with a K&M tool. Cases are checked for trim length (NB, trimming will be required after fireforming) and each are measured using quality Mitutoyo instruments. Weight sorting can also be included. This is just a typical example for a 6PPC but we do cases for other cartridges and all sorts of applications and to various levels. Just contact us and discuss your needs. BRT Match Prepped cases

Our Reloading Courses, from basic reloading practices to more advanced custom reloading, are conducted in their excellent training rooms. We can access almost all of the general shooting product lines available at very competitive prices. So whilst our focus is on precision shooting and related equipment we can access almost anything else you may require as well.
